The Innovate Motorsports OT-2 ODB-II Wi-Fi Interface provides a link between any late-model cars or trucks and an Apple TM iPhone TM or iPod Touch TM. The OpenTune interface allows high-quality data display, logging, and analysis from any vehicle made since 1996, and integrates with Innovate air/fuel meters and other modular tuning components. The LogWorks Mobile TM software, available from the Apple TM online app store, is a full-function performance meter, even without the option OT-2 OBD-II interface.
The OT-2 (Open Tune) by Innovate Motorsports is an all-in-one, ultraportable solution that turns your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or PC into a powerful wireless OBD-II enabled automotive diagnostic tool. Powered by the free, downloadable LogWorks Mobile app available at the Apple App Store, the OT-2 unit wirelessly provides a variety of valuable automotive functionality and information via its OBD-II connection to your vehicle, including a dyno digital dashboard, an efficiency meter, a data logger and an OBD-II scan tool. PC functionality utilizes CD software included and your computer‘s wireless connectivity or a USB connection.
Your Wireless Devices Are Now OBD-II Tools Beginning in the 1980s new cars and trucks began to be wired with a variety of computerized diagnostic systems designed to improve efficiencies, simplify troubleshooting and minimize the need for repairs. These systems produce indicators known as diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) internally, usually indicating something out of the ordinary by illuminating the “check engine“/malfunction indicator light (MIL) on the dashboard of your car. In the 1990s these systems, codes and the hardware connectors used to access them were standardized in North America as OBD (Onboard Diagnostics) and later OBD-II. Automotive technicians have long utilized specialized high-end machinery to read these codes, passing the costs on to consumers, but now you can get access to the same diagnostic codes and additional information quickly and inexpensively right on your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and PC with Innovate Motorsports’ OT-2.
